Series Overview: The church exists to make disciples of Jesus who love God with all that they are and love people the same way God loves us. In this series, we will discover that when we LOVE God with all we are we will LOVE others as well.
Series Passage: “Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?” Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:36-40
DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
• Icebreaker Question: What do you love the most in life? What makes your heart skip a beat?
• Read Matthew 28:19-20: Why does the Church exist? (To make disciples.)
• What is a Disciple? (A Disciple is one imitates the life and actions of the one they follow; they are a follower)
• What did Jesus say was the greatest commandment?
• Read Mark 12:30. What does the Bible mean when it says, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind and all your strength?”

Mind: (focus your mind on the pursuit of truth or Renew your mind with God’s truth)
Strength: (do everything for God)
• What does loving God look like? (Loving God is more than feeling, it involves the will as well as the heart.)
Challenge: A follower of Christ will love God with everything. What are some ways that you can love God with your heart, soul, mind and strength this week?
