The message and mission of Jesus centers around these 3 Circles. We all know that we live in a BROKEN world. We all experience this reality.
1. GOD'S DESIGN for the world was perfect, full of love and relationship with Him (Genesis 1:31). But we SINNED, which separated us from God and led to...
2. BROKENNESS (Romans 1:25). When we realize life is not working, we look for a way out by going in many different directions to fix our brokenness. But all these things lead us to a place of realizing we need something greater.
3. THE GOSPEL (John 3:16, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4). God did not leave us in our brokenness. Jesus lived a perfect life according to God's design. He did what we could not do for ourselves. He took our sin and shame to the cross, paying the penalty for our sin by his death. Jesus was raised from the dead to provided the only way for us to be rescued and restored to a relationship with God.
What do I do with this good news? TRUST and RESPOND (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9). Tell God: I admit my sinful brokenness and that I can't trust myself for rescue. I believe Jesus came to live, die and rise again from the dead to rescue me from my sins. Forgive me. I turn from my selfish ways and put my trust in you alone for my rescue. I know that Jesus is Lord of all, and I will follow Him.
Through faith in Jesus, God restores our relationship with Him and gives us purpose in life. Even when we fail, we know the good news of Jesus rescues us and God's Spirit empowers us to recover God's design for our life (Ephesians 2:10).
What's my next step? If you believe Jesus did this for you, tell us! We'd love to celebrate with and encourage you!
