Main Point: Christ is resurrected for us!
Scripture: Luke 24:1-35
4 things of what NOT to do when trying to understand the Bible
- Don’t look to Google for an answer - Google is not a mindless search engine - it has an agenda and i doesn't always agree with God's Word
- Don’t assume that something unexplained is inexplainable - The Bible was written in a different culture, in a different language, 2000 years ago. It was easy to understand for the people of that day, but it is harder for us now, but that doesn't mean it is inexplainable.
- Don’t allow confusion on a minor issue to cause a major crisis of faith
- Don’t be bothered that you can’t understand everything
- Start with Prayer - Ask God for help, understanding
- Check multiple translations - NIV, ESV, NASB, NLT (message paraphrase) - YouVersion - you might find it’s worded differently and it will help you
- Ask questions below as you read the - Website - Devotions
- Ask for help - From a leader, study bible, gotquestions.org, desiringgod.org
