Everyone is searching for Hope, Happiness, Security, Purpose. We want those things in our life. If we have a relationship with Jesus, we can find those things in Him! If you’ve been a follower of Jesus for any length of time, you’ve heard that you should share this hope with others, but where? how? why? In this two week series, we see from God’s Word how it starts with those around us, and how we can be a part of something meaningful on a 9 month missions trip.

Scripture Passages: Acts 1:8, Colossians 3:1-2, 4:2-3a

Main Point: Start a 9 month missions trip by praying for your friends.

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

  1. If you are a follower of Jesus, what has Jesus already done for you? 
  2. Read Colossians 4:2-3 - Why is praying so hard to do? Why is praying for others who don’t know Jesus so hard to do?
  3. Why does school/friends and sharing Jesus seem to NOT go together?
  4. Why might Jesus make a big deal about sharing who he is with others?
  5. Who is someone you can start to pray for or ask them “How can I pray for you?”
  6. How can this group help you with Praying for them?
  7. Who can you invite to The Rock - Pizza and Hangout on Oct. 7 (waiver required)
