This three-week series demystifies the concept of hearing God’s voice. The goal of this series is to help us understand that it takes everyone a while to learn how to discern the voice of God. This will help us learn how to do exactly that!

Discussion Questions:
  1. Is it weird to think that some of our spiritual heroes had moments of total weakness like Elijah did? Why or why not?
  2. Have you ever had a time when you went from a spiritual high to rock bottom quickly? What was that like? Who or what helped you through that moment?
  3. Why do you think that God chose to speak in a “still, small voice”?
  4. God asked Elijah, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” Why do you think God asked Elijah this?
  5. We talked about how James wrote that God draws near to us when we draw near to Him (James 4:8). What are some ways that you can draw near to God this week?
  6. What do you think Elijah learned about God through this whole scenario?
