We're starting a short, 2 week series where we focus parts of the Christmas story where angels to certain people to Fear Not. Fear is a huge driver for our lives. We are told to be brave, to stand tall, but often fear creeps in. Should fear have a say over our lives? This week, we will talk about why we need to understand the Bible phrase "Fear Not".

Scripture: Luke 1:26-38
Main Point: We will fear a Mighty God, but He invites us to FEAR NOT

Discussion Questions

  1. Have you had an experience that made you afraid?
  2. How would you describe the fear that characters in the Bible show? 
  3. Should we have a fear of God? Why or why not?
  4. What kind of fear should we have for God? (Should it just be respect, or actual fear?)
  5. If I truly feared God the way I was supposed to, what would change in my daily life?
  6. How can this group help each other with fearing God this week?
