Mark & Åsa Fisher

Mark & Åsa Fisher's mission is to plant churches, businesses, and Youth With A Mission (YWAM) ministries that apply God's Word to every area of thought and life in a culturally appropriate way amongst Muslim peoples and the least reached people on the planet. Mark and Åsa have both served with Youth with a Mission (YWAM) since 1983 and have been involved with Business as Mission (BAM) since 1997. In 2010, Mark pioneered a BAM-focused ministry team at YWAM Colorado Springs, where he and his wife reside. In the past five years alone over 250 students from 50 nations have participated in the BAM training Mark provides. Mark and Åsa have four grown children and ten grandchildren. Three of their four adult children also serve as missionaries.

Business as Mission (BAM) is a strategy to mobilize, equip, send, and sustain long-term workers to the least-reached people on the planet, engaging the least and the lost through BAM initiatives. The end goal is the transformation of the individual and community, spiritually, economically, socially, and environmentally. Jesus is at the center of all this! We do this by developing training with an entrepreneurial focus, by running businesses ourselves that live out the values of YWAM and BAM while serving as practical places of equipping and/or sustaining BAM practitioners on the field, and by directly sending and sustaining BAM practitioners. We prioritize job creation over maximizing profits. We believe in business with the Great Commission woven into everything.
