What is Zoom?
Zoom is an online app that allows you to meet face to face from your computer, smart phone or tablet.
Why are we recommending Zoom for Groups?
Life is better connected, and we want our church to continue to connect even while we practice social distancing. Zoom is a reliable platform. It allows anyone to participate, whether on a computer, smart phone, or calling in with a regular phone!
How do I get to Zoom?
See the links below for where to get to Zoom
Do I need to sign up for a “Plan and Price
No, you just need to click the “join a meeting†link and you don’t need to sign up for a plan or price. That is for your group leader.
What if I don’t have a computer of smart phone?
You can call into the meeting using your regular phone! See how to do that below!
Does our group have to use Zoom?
No, if your group already has another digital avenue to see each other face to face, that is fine! Just make sure that everyone in your group or that has signed up to be part of your group can access your video chat through whatever platform you choose to use.
NOTE: We do recommend Zoom because it allows for people to join who don’t have a computer or smart phone. Other programs may not offer that capability. We will also do our best to offer support for zoom but we cannot offer support for other programs.
